Our short film Dema, directed by Estefanía Ortiz, has been one of the shorts nominated for the ECFA Award for Best European Short Film on Childhood. These awards, organised by the European Children's Film Association, collect the audiovisual projects that have won in different European festivals dealing with childhood. Dema received the Best Short Film Award at the Athens International Festival of Film and Children, making it an automatic candidate for this prestigious award held within the framework of the Berlin Film Festival.
Dema is a short film set in the nineties that tells the story of Lucas and Bruno, two brothers who enjoy the summer that will change everything: the youngest, Lucas, starts school and will have to accept that his older brother, Bruno, who has Down syndrome, will not accompany him on this new adventure.
