In March we were able to film one of our short film projects that we have been developing for the longest time in Barcelona, titled Mortis cause, written and directed by Rubén Seca.
This is a project that the director had been trying to do for more than five years and that, due to the complexity of the production, had to be postponed on several occasions.
Pablo (55) is a listless office worker who has been living in complete apathy for years. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, and unable to commit suicide, he decides to hire a hitman for his own murder.
This is a project that the director and screenwriter had been trying to do for more than five years and that, due to the complexity of the production, had to be postponed on several occasions.
Thanks to the co-production with Dosmentes Productions, which provided camera and light material, and with the collaboration of the Film Archive of Catalonia, as well as all the other collaborators who collaborated with the production, such as Ovide, Kinolux or Marcià Codinachs, we were able to make the filming of our most ambitious project to date a reality. We should also thank all the patrons who supported the crowdfunding through the platform Verkami.
Filming took place entirely in Barcelona, in the Gothic and Raval neighborhoods, as well as inside and outside the Filmoteca.
The short film stars Maximum Hita, an eminence in the world of dance, this being his first experience as an actor. In the technical and artistic part, we have been able to count on an exceptional team.
