THE PISOFT PROJECT is part of La Inesperada, in the EXIT Lab

Our documentary feature film The Pisoft project has been selected to be part of the 3rd edition of the festival The Unexpected, in his project laboratory EXIT: a space for debate for Catalan production projects in the process of development.

During the day, the five selected projects were presented:

  • white sea fossilsby Lina Gorbaneva
  • War Tourism by Kikol Grau
  • Patarinos by Zeltia Outeirino
  • Kao Mali List by Manel Raga
  • The Pisoft project by Rubén Seca.

EXIT was held at the headquarters of the SGAE Catalunya. The session was moderated by Núria Giménez Lorang and Miquel Martí Freixas.

In addition, three invited experts shared their views on the projects:

  • James Lattimer, programmer and critic, has been part of the selection committee of the Berlinale Forum since 2011 and has been a programming consultant for Viennale since 2018. Artistic curator of DocumentaMadrid 2020 and 2021. As a critic he publishes in Cine Scope, Sight and Sound, The Brooklyn Rail , Fireflies and is co-editor of TEXTUR.
  • Lluís Minarro, producer and filmmaker, founder of the production company Eddie Saeta, has produced more than 40 feature films working with filmmakers such as Isabel Coixet, José Luis Guerin, Manoel de Oliveira, Albert Serra, Naomi Kawase and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, among others. Director of films like Hot Stella (2014) or Love me not (2019).
  • Serrana Torres, filmmaker, producer and screenwriter, co-founder of the production company IntropiaMedia, has produced films such as Oleg and the rare arts by Andrés Duque (2016), Transoceanic by Meritxell Colell and Lucía Vasallo (2020), or the transmedia project Those without hats, co-directed with Tania Balló and Manuel Jiménez (2015).

It has been a stimulating and enriching day for us, to continue maturing The Pisoft project and feed it with the good feedback received from colleagues and mentors.
