The short film The pressures of the light, written and directed by Rubén Seca, has been made on the occasion of the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Girona Cinemas, one of the iconic theaters in Barcelona where you can enjoy European and international auteur cinema, and home to many festivals and exhibitions held in the city.
The Cinemas Girona They are the result of the renovation of the old movie theaters located for more than 25 years on Girona Street in Barcelona, at the foot of the Gracia neighborhood, with the desire to become a multicultural space.
The short film, a co-production of Shoji Films and Cinemes Girona, in just 4 minutes, covers the most important milestones in the history of cinema, defending the natural space of the seventh art: movie theaters.
Rubén Seca signs the direction, script, editing and photography, accompanied by the great narration of the poet Sergi García Lorente, specialized in video-poetry.

Filming took place, for the most part, in the Girona Cinema Museum – Tomàs Mallol Collection, thanks to his collaboration, allowed us to film his entire extensive collection of elements from primitive cinema as well as moving images prior to the birth of cinema; A wonderful collection and highly recommended to visit.
The production will soon begin distribution at film festivals, led by MMS – Short Film Distribution.
